The slow growth for the period from October last year to March this year compares with more than 20 percent for the same period a year earlier.

The airline said urgent measures were needed to complement existing capacity until a new Lisbon airport can be built, adding that there was also a chronic shortage of slots at Porto’s Sá Carneiro airport.
