The Daily Mail claims the top-up is approximately €170,000, in an investigation that has so far seen in the region of €12.6 million spent
on it.
“The Government remains committed to the investigation of the disappearance of Madeleine McCann. We have briefed the Metropolitan Police Service that the application for the allocation of special funds for ‘Operation Grange’ will be approved”, the British government said.
Meanwhile, the Mirror reports detectives are to pursue “one final line of inquiry”.
Madeleine McCann disappeared on the evening of 3 May 2007 from a holiday apartment in Praia da Luz, in the Algarve region of Portugal, then aged three. In May this year, she will have been missing for 11 years.
