The IPMA has also placed the municipalities of Sardoal and Mação (Santarém), Gavião (Portalegre), Lagos, Portimão, Monchique, Silves, Loulé, Alcoutim and Castro Marim (Faro) at very high risk of fire.
More than 30 municipalities in the districts of Faro, Beja, Évora, Lisbon, Santarém, Portalegre, Castelo Branco, Guarda and Bragança are also at high risk of fire.
The fire hazard, determined by the IPMA, has five levels of risk, ranging from low to maximum.
Calculations are obtained from air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and amount of precipitation in the last 24 hours.
The minimum temperatures today will fluctuate between -1 degrees Celsius (in Guarda) and 10 (in Faro, Lisbon and Aveiro) and the maximum between 11 (in Guarda) and 22 (in Faro).
