In a statement, AMN reveals that they received information from the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA), responsible for carrying out the analyses, advising against going swimming at Parede beach, leading to the red flag being raised.
Notices were also placed at the beach access points, prohibiting swimming.
“This ban will remain in place until the results of new water quality analyses indicate that the microbiological values are within the reference parameters”.
Parede Beach is one of the 10 Blue Flag beaches in the municipality of Cascais, in the district of Lisbon.
