Operated by Project Re:claim, a partnership between the Salvation Army and Project Plan B, the zero emission facility will transform post-consumer garments into raw materials for reuse in the fashion and textile industries.

Tim Cross, CEO of Project Plan B, mentioned that in the UK alone, 300,000 tonnes of textile items, including polyester, are discarded into household waste annually, and up until now, polyester that had no useful life left would have been disposed of.
