The National Republican Guard (GNR) said in a statement that it has intensified patrolling actions along the Algarve coast, following the worsening weather and sea conditions.

Following this intensification of patrols, nine packages containing 21,400 doses of hashish and eleven jerry cans were detected, the military added.
On Tuesday, the GNR had already announced the seizure of 93.6 kilos of hashish on the Algarve coast at the beginning of the week, on beaches in the municipalities of Vila do Bispo and Lagoa.
