In relation to road inspections, the GNR detected 796 infractions, of which 261 were for speeding, 66 for lack of mandatory periodic inspection, 53 related to anomalies in lighting and signalling systems, 25 for lack of civil liability insurance, 22 for improper use of a cell phone while driving and 17 for lack of or incorrect use of seat belts and/or child restraint systems.

With regard to road accidents, the GNR recorded 78 accidents, which resulted in one serious injury and 15 minor injuries, in addition to material damage.

During the period mentioned, in the Algarve region, the national security force arrested 79 people in flagrante delicto, 29 for driving without a legal license, 21 for driving under the influence of alcohol and 3 for drug trafficking.
