Diesel, the most widely used fuel in Portugal, is expected to drop by two cents while petrol is expected to remain unchanged, according to data published by the Automóvel Clube de Portugal (ACP).
When you fill up, you will pay €1.586 per litre of regular diesel and will continue to pay, as this week, €1.699 per litre of regular 95 petrol, taking into account the average prices charged at the pumps on Monday, published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology (DGEG).
If these drops are confirmed, diesel and petrol prices will be close to the value paid in the week of November 11th. Diesel has fallen 5.8 cents since February 24 and if this new fall is confirmed, the savings will be 7.8 cents.
These values already take into account the discounts applied by gas stations and the review of temporary tax measures to help mitigate the increase in fuel prices.
