Azores Airlines will reinforce the route between Lisbon and the island of Pico, in the Azores, with one more frequency per week throughout the summer, a connection that will be carried out on Fridays, between 4 July and 29 August, the SATA Group said in a statement, cites Publituris.

"With this reinforcement, the company progressively increases the capacity offered in the IATA summer period (between April and October), reaching a total of six weekly direct flights at the peak of the season," reads the information released by the Azorean aviation group.

The new flight will depart from Lisbon at 12:00 pm, with arrival in Pico scheduled for 1:45 pm, while in the opposite direction the departure from the Azorean island is scheduled for 2:35 pm, arriving in the Portuguese capital at 6:05 pm.

"The airlines of the SATA group continuously monitor the evolution of demand, adjusting capacity whenever possible. This reinforcement of the operation is in line with the commitment made by Azores Airlines to increase the offer of direct flights between the mainland and the Azores in the high season, an objective now achieved with the introduction of new frequencies," reads the statement from the Azorean group.
