The construction of the Castle began in 1358, but it remained unfinished until a renovation was completed around a hundred years later, and Da Vinci was one of several artists hired by the Duke of Milan to decorate its walls.
Using radar, laser scanners, and other advanced technology, researchers from the Polytechnic University of Milan confirmed the existence of hidden passageways and rooms, verifying sketches that the Renaissance legend made in the 1940s.

Sketches made in the 1940s by Leonardo da Vinci..... hmmmm. Born 1452, decreased 1519. I am fairly certain some editing of the article needs to take place.
That being said, interesting find indeed. Will follow this with interest.
