Rede Expressos has strengthened its international operations with a new route between Porto and Santiago de Compostela, a new service that comes into effect on today, with trips on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, shares Publituris.
The new Rede Expressos route that connects Porto to Santiago de Compostela also passes through Amarante, Vila Real and Chaves, as well as the Galician cities of Verín and Orense, and costs 9 euros.
“One of the great advantages of this new service is the departure from Sá Carneiro Airport, which will allow Galician passengers to connect with international flights in Porto, in addition to significantly increasing mobility options between countries, providing faster and more affordable journeys”, indicates Rede Expressos in a statement.
According to the information released, “this reinforcement of the operation responds to the increase in the influx of passengers to Galicia, given the increase in the number of Portuguese people working in the north of Spain, mostly from the districts of Porto, Braga and Vila Real, but also due to the general increase in religious tourism”.
“Rede Expressos is committed to actively contributing to the European project initiated in 2024 by ClusterTur, which aims to promote the Galicia – Northern Portugal Euroregion as a sustainable destination, through the creation of new services and destinations that foster tourist, economic and sociocultural dynamism throughout the cross-border region”, says Rede Expressos.
