According to the new table released by the CTT, a stamp for a letter weighing up to 20 grams sent by regular mail is to cost €0.50, up from €0.47 now.

Items in normal format weighing between 20 and 50 grams are to go up to €0.65 from €0.60 now, while those weighting between 50 and 100 grams are to cost €0.80. up from €0.75.

According to the company, in a statement sent to the securities markets authority, the CMVM, the average increase of the "basket of correspondence, editorial mail and package services" is 2.4%.

CTT has been fully privatised in 2014, when the state sold its remaining 31.5% stake in the company to institutional investors.
