The operation aims to reduce the number of accidents on Portugal’s roads. Throughout this week patrols are to be stepped up in areas with large concentrations of people, namely shopping and tourist areas and around public transport networks. Officers are also to undertake public awareness campaigns to encourage safe behaviour.
