These values, it should be noted, are based on the average prices published by the Directorate-General for Energy and Geology, which "are calculated based on the prices communicated by the fuel stations, weighted with the quantities sold in the last known period, incorporating the discounts practiced at the filling stations such as fleet cards and others".
The average weekly price, calculated by the Energy Services Regulatory Entity (ERSE), increased, compared to last week, by 1.3% for gasoline and 1.1% for diesel, according to a report released on Monday.
According to the regulator, the efficient price was updated, compared to last week, "by +1.3% for gasoline and +1.1% for diesel, taking into account the weekly variation in international prices for simple gasoline 95 at +3.0% and for simple diesel at +2.5%".
ERSE also revealed, in the weekly Fuels Supervision of Prices report, that for the week of July 17 to 23 "the efficient price before taxes is 0.861 Euro/l [euros per litre] for straight 95 gasoline and 0.844 Euro/l for straight diesel".
