According to Autómovel Club de Portugal, the price of diesel will rise by 3.5 cents and petrol will increase by 3 cents.

According to the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), the average price of a litre of diesel in Portugal on Friday (May 16) was 1.503 euros, while petrol was 1.668 euros.

If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of regular diesel should be €1.538/l while that of regular 95 gasoline could rise to €1.698/l.

It should be noted that these forecasts are made based on the assumption that the extraordinary tax reduction measures applied by the government will be maintained to mitigate price increases.
