According to the Automóvel Club de Portugal, the price of diesel will fall by 1 cent and the price of petrol will increase by 0.5 cents.
According to the General Directorate of Energy and Geology (DGEG), the average price of a litre of diesel in Portugal on Friday (9 May) was 1.509 euros, while petrol was 1.662 euros.
You can also see that, compared to October 1, 2024, current prices reflect a 3.1 cent drop in diesel and a 0.3 cent increase in petrol.
If the forecasts for next week are confirmed, the average price of regular diesel should be €1.499/l while that of regular 95 gasoline could rise to €1.667/l.
Note that these forecasts are made based on the assumption that the extraordinary tax reduction measures implemented by the government to mitigate price increases will continue.
