The north: Heavy rain is expected today with highs of 16 degrees and lows of 11 degrees. Wednesday and Thursday are to be mainly bright with some cloud cover and average highs of 16 degrees. Hazy high cloud is on the cards for Friday with highs of 18 degrees and lows of 6 degrees.

The centre: A grey and wet day is forecast today with highs of 17 degrees and lows of 11 degrees. The sun is to return tomorrow and by Thursday clear skies are predicted with highs of 13 degrees and lows of 2 degrees.

The south: Intermittent cloud and prolonged sunny spells are on the cards today with highs of 21 degrees and lows of 14 degrees. On Thursday clear blue skies are forecast with highs of 17 degrees and lows of 9 degrees.
