According to the IPMA, bad weather is expected to start hitting the islands of the Western group (Flores and Corvo), from 17:00 local time (18:00 in Lisbon) on Tuesday 5 March, until 05:00 local time (06:00 in Lisbon) on Thursday, with "northwest waves of six to seven meters".
Flores and Corvo will still be under yellow warning due to the "wind, direction west (W), turning northwest (NW)", between 02:00 local (03:00 in Lisbon) and 17:00 local (18 :00 in Lisbon) on Wednesday.
In the Eastern group (São Miguel and Santa Maria), the yellow warning due to forecasts of "northwest waves of six to seven meters" is valid between 11:00 local time (12:00 in Lisbon) on Wednesday and 05:00 local time (06:00 in Lisbon) on Thursday.
The two islands of the Eastern group will also be under yellow warning due to the "wind, direction west (W), turning northwest (NW)", between 11:00 local time (12:00 in Lisbon) and 23:00: 00 Wednesday locations.
In the case of the Central group (Terceira, São Jorge, Pico, Graciosa and Faial), the yellow warning of sea unrest, with a forecast of "northwest waves of six to seven meters", is valid between 23:00 local time on Tuesday (24:00 in Lisbon) and 05:00 local time (06:00 in Lisbon) on Thursday.
The IPMA also issued a yellow warning to the Central group due to the "wind, heading west (W), turning northwest (NW)", which will be active between 05:00 local time (06:00 in Lisbon) and 20:00: 00 local (21:00 in Lisbon) on Wednesday.
