“Improving communication conditions between municipal buildings and services, providing free and universal public access to the internet and creating the conditions for the subsequent installation of a video monitoring system in certain urban areas, linked to police forces, to reinforce the safety of citizens and visitors, are the objectives of the investment that the municipality of Lagos hopes to achieve”.
The creation of the fiber optic infrastructure, the tender for which was approved at the last council meeting, entails municipal expenditure of around €1 million, which is seen as an investment in the efficiency of public management and an essential resource for future feasibility and the implementation of technologies linked to Smart Mobility, Smart Tourism and smart home environments (Smart Living).
