Upon entering a European Council meeting in Brussels, Luís Montenegro considered that the expectation for today's leaders' summit is to create conditions for a peace process “for Ukraine and with Ukraine”.
The Prime Minister added that Portugal “will not fail to be available to participate in this process”.
“And [Portugal] will also participate, if a ceasefire is achieved and a path towards a peace process is reached, with all the necessary steps that the EU can take in order to, on the ground, implement this objective”, said the leader of the executive.
The leaders of the 27 EU countries are meeting today in Brussels to reinforce support for Ukraine, at a time when the United States of America (USA), under the aegis of Republican Donald Trump, has suspended military support for the country invaded by Russia.

What a disaster the EU has become and Portugal just saying yes to everything! It's not about the Ukraine and it never was, but for the warmongers of the American left and the socialist EU madness to support a war that Ukraine could never win! Besides, Ukraine was always part of the old USSR and the West should have stayed out of a domestic squabble and never interfered with ANY of these countries! It seems that the Mainstream media always supported this, in that if you are not for the Ukraine, you are for Russia! What utter nonsense! It should have always been about saving lives, property, dignity and Peace! People need to move away from the MSM and stop listening to their lies and propaganda!
