The offer of houses for rent in Portugal dropped by 53% in
the third quarter of 2022, compared to the stock that was available in the same
period in 2021.
Houses for rent in Portugal also dropped in 17 district
capitals in the last year. Leading the list are Aveiro (-68%) and Porto (-68%),
followed by Lisbon (-66%) and Braga (-61%).
In addition to these cities, the stock available for rent
also dropped in Ponta Delgada (-57%), Viseu (-50%), Coimbra (-45%), Funchal
(-44%), Leiria (-43%), Vila Real (-42%), Évora (-39%), Viana do Castelo (-37%),
Faro (-34%), Beja (-31%), Setúbal (-30%), Guarda (-29%) and Castelo Branco
(-29%).
At the other end of the scale Santarém was the city where
the offer of housing for rent grew the most (+33%), followed by Bragança
(+20%).
