The municipality of Guarda is spreading rock salt on the streets of the city, where it snowed this Thursday afternoon, to prevent the formation of ice.
According to the mayor Sérgio Costa, due to low
temperatures, the concern is that ice could form overnight, so the municipality
is taking measures to prevent this from happening.
In the highest city in the country it snowed between 2:00 pm
and about 3:45 pm on Thursday.
On its Facebook page, the Municipality of Guarda shared some
photographs of the area 'painted' in white.
Remember: snow=ruined crops=less food than we had in our territory to begin with.
